past spotlight series projects

2022 Spotlight Series: Art Camp at Como Community Center
In August 2022, we shined the spotlight on Camille Keehan, an SFAAward-winning visual artist and student at All Saints Episcopal School. Under Camille’s vision, organization, and leadership, 120+ students gathered at Como Community Center for a free art camp to explore their creativity.

2022 Spotlight Series: Legally Blonde The Musical
In June 2022, the spotlight was on the student-driven production of Legally Blonde The Musical! Dozens of students came together to take on the roles of performers, directors, designers, tech crew, and more. Two live performances were held at Fort Worth Country Day’s Scott Theater. This was the second Spotlight Series musical production under the vision and organization of Joe Westermann. We are thrilled that Joe and his core team have launched the Spotlight Cast & Crew to continue their amazing commitment to providing a musical theatre experience to students in the Fort Worth area, tuition free!

2021 Spotlight Series: A Chorus Line (High School Edition)
The inaugural year of the SFAA Spotlight Series brought the Fort Worth community a completely student-led production of A Chorus Line (High School Edition), thanks to the creative vision of Joe Westermann! After socially-distanced auditions and rehearsals, patrons were treated to performances by dozens of student actors, dancers, technicians, and designers that dazzled and amazed. What a way to kick off this SFAAwards initiative!
